Bee venom in honey

The benefits of bees do not end even from bee venom. Therefore, Mujezat Al-Shifa Company in Kuwait was keen to provide its valued customers with products containing bee venom to obtain its benefits safely by mixing it with bee honey. The following is a brief report on the benefits of bee venom:

Doctors of Chinese Medicine (Beijing) University of Chinese Medicine introduced Dr. Yang Ye, Dr. Yi Liu, and Dr. Shuai Zhang

They presented a paper presenting the benefits of using bee venom in the natural treatment of patients, especially chronic ones, a method that dates back to ancient civilizations such as Chinese, Pharaonic, Greek and, more recently, used by healers in Russia.

The results of this research prompted Professor E Paul Cherniack of Miami Miller University School of Medicine in America and Professor Sergey Govorushko of the Academy of Sciences of the Far Eastern University of Russia to collaborate on the two sides to study and document the potential effectiveness of bee venom for healing diseases and how to ensure safety in its use.

Dr. Maria Carpena at the University of Vego, Spain, presented a paper in which she collected a summary of scientific research from multiple scientific centers related to bee venom, which presented some of its multiple chemical composition of peptide compounds and vital enzymes and the impact of each of them on diseases. It contains:

1- Melittin, an anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial, especially viruses, a pain reliever, an anti-arrhythmic, anti-atherosclerotic, and an analyzer for fibrosis and cancer cells. It has been used since antiquity for cases of inflammation and pain in the joints and the cartilage between the vertebrae when sliding.

2- Apamin protects and activates nerve cells. It is useful in Parkinson’s disease, peripheral neuritis, Alzheimer’s, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, and atherosclerosis.

3- Adolapin, which relieves fever and pain and is anti-inflammatory

4- Secapin) is anti-microbial, anti-fungal, and breaks down elastin, which preserves the elasticity of the skin and blood vessels, and anti-dissolution of the thrombus fibers that are formed to prevent bleeding from wounds.

5- (MCD) a protein that blocks histamine formation in mast cells, thus reducing sensitivity and inflammation

6- The phospholipase enzyme analyzes fibrosis and adhesions resulting from chronic inflammation and cirrhosis of the liver. It also controls the immune system of patients with lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, and multiple sclerosis. It protects and activates and regenerates neurons of the brain and peripheral nerves. It is also anti-microbial, anti-parasite, anti-pain and arthritis.

7- The hyaluronidase enzyme breaks down collagen in the stinging site to help the spread of these therapeutic compounds in the tissues and stimulates the secretion of new collagen for youthful look.

And still bee venom contains a lot of beneficial biological compounds. And how its effect varies according to its concentration in the dose given to the patient.

For all these great benefits of bee venom, scientists have been active in preparing refined extracts of bee venom that isolate beneficial compounds from irritating ones. And bee venom is applied to patients by acupuncture with needles loaded with it on specific places in the body according to the disease condition and by physiotherapists and after conducting an experimental test. This is a great development from folk medicine, where bee venom was applied by direct stinging of the patient from bees, although it is a method that has benefited many patients throughout the ages and until now, but quality is always preferred to humans.
